Hairstylist Lisa Eastwood added some unkempt sexiness to Lily’s shorter tresses using Shu Uemura styling creams and texturizing sprays, while makeup artist Mary Greenwell gave her a sultry finish. “Lily has a new hair cut, which is fabulous! It is shorter, choppy and very contemporary, so we wanted to leave it unkempt and kind of wild. Very unstructured. We worked the makeup to go with this look to make her appear very much of the moment with a simple soft smoky eye and dark berry mouth. I used as few products possible—this keeps the look real and uncomplicated,” Mary said when expressing her inspiration.

Mary kindly shared her tips on how you can get the look with a few detailed steps!
“The most important thing about skin right now is that it looks glowing and very well moisturized. For this ,I used my favourite moisturiser that works perfectly under foundation and make up—Chanel Hydra Beauty Gel Créme. I then used the new Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup SPF 15 in the palest colour from Dior’s Diorskin line, which can be smoothed on to the skin for very light coverage where wanted, but can be built up where more coverage is desired. Next I used two concealers: Bobbi Brown’s Corrector to hide imperfections and Guerlain Issima Precious Light Pen to brighten the eye area. For underneath Lily’s eyes and around her nose, I brushed Diorskin Nude Fresh Glow Powder in No.10 but left the rest of the face unpowdered.”
Once you have your face prepped, it’s time to put the finishing touches on with the eyes, lips and cheeks!
“On the eyes I used Giorgio Armani “Eyes To Kill” Intense Eyeshadow in a pale pink on the lid (try 29: Rose Titanium) and going up onto the brow bone, and then Estée Lauder Pure Color Gelée Powder Eyeshadow in Limited Edition “Lights Out”, a single black powder shadow on the lid only and into the roots of the lashes, blending well for a very soft but intense effect. I used Tom Ford Beauty Extreme Mascara in Raven on the top lashes, working on the outside corner and a little on the bottom lashes. She has the most amazing lashes and two coats make them look unbelievably thick and long. Brows were filled in on the outside corner with Le Sourcil de Chanel. I’s a very simple smoky eye.”
Mary first applied a lipliner—try Make Up For Ever’s Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in Matte Dark Raspberry 11C before filling it in with the Tom Ford Private Blend Lipstick in Black Orchid that Mary used.
“[on the cheeks] I used Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate, using the illuminator on her cheek bone and temple for a true glow and contoured her cheeks minimally with the shade. On top I used a weeny bit of Nars Illuminator in Orgasm, just top add a hint of warmth, but not to take away from the paleness.”
